Virtual Pride 2020

Thank you for participating in Virtual Pride 2020! Stay tuned for information regarding Virtual Pride 2021!

Celebrate pride month 2020 with us while social distancing! Organizations and individuals across Pennsylvania have been impacted by Covid-19. Let’s get together to celebrate pride and support these organizations during uncertain times. We have plenty of online events for you to join from June 13-14.

The first ever VRchat Virtual Pride is taking place on June 13-14! Walk around a virtual world where you’ll get to make new friends, learn more about Pennsylvania-based organizations, watch our YouTube and Twitch live streams, and dance and have fun! You DON’T need a virtual reality headset to join! To participate in VRchat, create an account here. Then download VRchat through Steam or, if you have an Oculus headset, you can download it right from the Oculus store. When you’re in the app, search worlds for “Virtual Pride 2020”. You’ll see our pride table and the Virtual Pride 2020 logo in the preview image. See participating organizations below.

Another interactive event you can join is our JackBox Zoom call. You don’t need a Zoom account to join in the fun! Just click the links below and if it asks you for a password, enter TMR.
Join our Saturday game anytime between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM here.
Join our Sunday game anytime between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM here.
The moderator, Brady, will allow up to the amount of people required to play any given game into the Zoom call to play one game. Then he’ll boot everyone and allow new players in for the next game. While your waiting in queue, or if you’d just like to watch, follow our YouTube page where we’ll be live streaming the game!

Last, but not least, join us and other participating organizations in learning about and celebrating pride together with drag shows, discussion panels, and more. From 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST on June 13 & 14, we’ll have live streams you can watch on our Twitch Account. See the participating organizations below and find the schedule here.

Tabu Lounge and Sportsbar

No matter who you are, you are welcome at Tabu.
The concept of Tabu was created out of a need to have a true sportsbar that caters to the the diverse and dynamic crowd that makes up the Gayborhood as part of Washington Square West.  Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar was envisioned to be not just another business on 12th Street, but a part of the community that gives back in ways that others only think about.  In December 2012 (after just two and a half years of being open), we held our 200th fundraiser in support of local non-profit organizations. We also provide significant support and assistance to several of the largest non-profit organizations in the community such as Mazzoni Health Center, William Way Community Center, Philadelphia Gay Black Pride, and Equality Now!
